Simpson Attempted - Raven ongoing

I was a bit worried about this, as it looks similar to the original... i did this in photoshop though having looked at the pictures i think the original artist might have used illustrator.

I also think the picture itself needs something else its a bit. empty!
I used contrasting colours of the green and orange to try and  bring the main image to the forground as well as bringing in purple highlights in the wings, i read somewhere that an item is never just the one colour it just appears that way so i tried to bring in more colour with in her eyes and wings.
